The giving nature of Kenyans has been boosted by M-Changa, an online crowdfunding mobile phone application run by telecommunications company Safaricom.

Kenyans are known to be some of the most generous people in the world. A good number of them regularly donate money towards good causes, volunteer their time to service and often give a hand to complete strangers.This was clearly seen when Isaiah Osago -a Prisons Commissioner- facilitated a funds drive for the inmates children fee on August 2, 2013 at Kamiti Maximum Prison. The overwhelming contributions made towards the cause led to a ranking shift placing Kenyans as the third most generous people in the world, an improvement from position 12.
